Don’t you just love Christmas and all the joy it brings? For example shall we say the gorgeous food! NOMNOMNOM! Rich, warm, delicious food that makes you feel all cosy and…I’m sorry I appear to be drooling. Oops. Just thinking about all that food is making me hungry. Excuse me while I go grab a mince-pie.
I’m back! Where was I? Oh yes, right.
Today the Christmas Crocodile had a lovely surprise for us. He wanted to make gingerbread with the boys as his way of apologising for his naughty behaviour lately. We told him we understood why he had been acting out and thank you for the heart warming gesture. He of course did have every intention of gobbling the whole batch but held himself back and only had a cheeky nibble. We made all sorts of shapes, bunnies, hearts, stars, batman logo, gingerbread man and of course crocodiles! The boys love baking and really enjoyed getting stuck in. Crocodile at one point thought it would be a good idea to try swimming through the dough pretending it was quicksand and he was being sucked in. It only made him messy and in need of a bubble bath which he thoroughly enjoyed.
I do love the smell of gingerbread and cinnamon. It’s such a christmassy smell with happy and fond memories attached to it. Our gingerbread turned out wonderful and has filled the house with that intoxicating scent. LOVE! hehe cheesy I know.
Not long to go now before it’s Christmas!
I wonder what the Christmas Crocodile will get up to tomorrow?
Hop hop wiggle wiggle.
