Oh the weather outside is white-fall
but at least I have a trifle
And since I never say no
Let it go, let it go, let it gooooooooo!
Ok, bad I know but hey I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it. Well, actually I do because I studied poetry and I am a poet who is now rambling on and on about something that is not that important or relevant to this blog post. Haha! I need a drink!
Today the Christmas Crocodile brought a mighty breeze into the house and no, it was not a silent but deadly before you even start thinking it. It was snow! Beautiful cold unreliable snow. He told us that he had never seen snow before he came to live with us. It fascinated him and he loved how magical it made him feel. A feeling he never wanted to go away. He told us he had come up with a very clever plan of how he was going to bottle this special feeling forever. What to know what it is dear readers? Snow Globes!!!
I absolutely love snow globes! When I was younger my family had special ones that only came out for Christmas and it was always a joy to gently shake them about and watch the snow fall with such grace. It made me feel all cosy and warm. There’s just something about them that always fascinates me and now my boys are joining in the fun too. Cabbit loves shaking them like crazy, like super fast and making them ‘race’, seeing which one will finish its snow storm first. Mogwai on the other hand likes to just sit and slowly watch the snow, smiling and giggling to himself. It’s adorable and I think it’s about time we got a few snow globes for the house. Maybe sometime in the near future, as opposed to now. The other day we were about to buy one when Cabbit dramatically dropped it, SMASH! Right there in the middle of the shop, glass and glitter went everywhere! I felt so guilty and of course offered to pay for it but the shop wouldn’t have any of it. So for now we will stick to plastic I think. Poor snow globe. A broken snow globe is a sad sight to beyond indeed.
I am off to relax and unwind with the hubby as it is his birthday today! NOM NOM NOM CAKE! And maybe a cheeky drink!
I wonder what The Christmas Crocodile will get up to tomorrow?
Hog ho wiggle wiggle.
