Happy Father’s Day!!! I hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating the dad’s of the world, past and present.
Day’s like today can be difficult for some as unfortunately life has a nasty habit of stealing some fathers from this world. But what you have to remember is the memories. Happy and sad. The memories will always be with you. The best thing to do on days like today is to remember, celebrate their life and carry on. Live your life in the sun. There will be rainy days (especially in England!) where you forget your umbrella and get completely drenched, but you are human. It’s ok to have a day where you can’t cope, just don’t let it be everyday or let it completely dominate your life. That may sound harsh but your father’s helped give you life for a reason. To live and I bet they would hate to see you completely giving up and abandoning life because they are sadly no longer around. It’s a horrible part of life that happens to us all. I can’t say for 100% what they would want but I am sure it would be for you to live and carry on. Grieving is never pleasant and you can be grieving for the loss of a loved one for the rest of your life. No harm in it just don’t stop living your life because of it. It’s extremely unhealthy. Make new memories, celebrate your lost one’s memory and as long as you remember them they can never be forgotten. Never let the memory die, that you can hold onto for the rest of your life.
I would like to wish my own dear father a happy father’s day and wish I could be with him in Devon eating cake and celebrating! I hope your cards arrived and your present will soon follow! You are an amazing dad and have always believed and supported me in everything I do. You are also a wonderful grandfather and share a love of trains with your grandson. I can see you in him when he sees a train and get’s all excited. His little face lights up and he can’t stop smiling. Thank you for teaching me to be myself and take pride in everything I do. I would not be the Bunny I am today if it wasn’t for you. Happy Father’s day dad!
I would also like to wish my crazy husband a happy father’s day for being such an awesome dad to our beautiful son. You are such a fantastic dad, you make our son laugh and smile everyday. I don’t know how I would get through most days if I didn’t have you there keeping us giggling and being silly. There is so much of you in our son and I couldn’t be prouder to say you are the father of my child (and soon to be second-born). I know when they’re old enough they will be proud of you too. That you will support them and believe in them no matter what they do. Never doubt yourself because you are a great father and I know The King would be proud of you. Happy Father’s day Panda!
Today we are off to Jo-Jo’s with family to eat and be merry! Tomorrow I am taking hubby and son out for the day as a little treat to see our friend Mr royal python at Hounslow Urban Farm. There has been silly talks in the past about getting a snake but now with another baby on the way I think it will wait for a while. By a while I mean a good few years! We already have 2 guinea pigs, 2 bunnies and (soon to be) 2 children!!! Yes we are crazy!
Have a lovely day and if you haven’t already, go give your fathers a big hug and tell them how much you love them.
