I love love loveeeeeee baking! I am a pastry, confectionery fiend. You know those women that stand outside shoe shops for hours and hours admiring every single detail, that’s me but outside a bakery. I go crazy for a fat filled cream éclair, the thick layer of chocolate, the way they have them arranged in a neat line just waiting to be devoured by a greedy bunny. My god I really want an éclair right now, I am a woman who loves her food and I’m not ashamed to admit it.
So, the other day I managed to get my hands on Betty Crocker Chocolate Chip Cookie mix. I love the Betty Crocker baking range, its simple and easy to follow and great if you haven’t got all the time in the world which I am lacking now my son has arrived. I will have to try to put a whole day aside just for baking! My husband could take Cabbit to the park or something and come back to a house smelling of cake! Maybe if I make him head taster he will agree to this idea? Anyway, I made the cookies and have to say I was a little disappointed with the results. I followed the instructions exactly and was left with cookies that tasted of, well…nothing. They left a dull, stale taste of cardboard in my mouth. Sad to say I will not be trying this mix again, I even used my bunny cutter to make bunny shaped cookies! Very disappointing results.
But alas this is life, I’m pretty sure I can move on from it. Easter is nearly upon us, time for chocolate cake with mini eggs and yummy chocolate rice-crispies treats! I do love Easter! CHOCOLATE!
